Célébration de la Journée nationale du martyr le 18 février 2025.

The Embassy of Algeria in Helsinki commemorated Martyrs' Day today, which corresponds to February 18th, under the slogan "The Martyr is an Eternal Spirit and a Pioneering Journey of Loyalty." The event was filled with a spirit of loyalty to the sacrifices of the heroes who, with their blood, wrote the epic of independence.

The ceremony began with the national anthem, followed by the recitation of Al-Fatiha, and a minute of silence to honor the souls of our righteous martyrs who gave their lives in defense of the homeland. They wrote with their pure blood the highest meanings of sacrifice and devotion for Algeria.

On this occasion, Ambassador Mohamed Bourouba delivered a speech in which he highlighted the deep significance and symbolic importance of this national day. He emphasized the need to preserve historical memory and remain loyal to the sacrifices of the martyrs who confronted the brutal settler colonialism with an unwavering will, leading to independence and the restoration of national sovereignty. They left behind a legacy of struggle that continues to inspire successive generations. He also pointed out the current challenges that require holding on to national memory.
