Mr.Magramane signed the United Nations Convention on Cybercrime.

Assigned by the President of the Republic, Mr.Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Mr.Lounes Magramane signed the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime in Hanoi (Vietnam) on October 25.
This landmark Convention, the first mechanism to combat cybercrime, was adopted during the 79th UN General Assembly in December 2024. Algeria played a pivotal role in its development, chairing the drafting committee and leading negotiations since May 2021.
Sixty-four (64) countries and regional bodies inked the Convention.
The signing ceremony was opened by the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Mr.Luong Cuong, in the presence of high-level delegations and the UN Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres.
