4th Edition of the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF2025) Algiers, Algeria | From 4 to 10 September 2025

The 4th edition of the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF2025) will take place from 4 to 10 September 2025 at the Palais des Expositions, Pins Maritimes in Algiers. This event is organized in coordination with the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) and the Advisory Council of the exhibition, in collaboration with the Secretariat of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and the African Union.

Held under the theme “A Gateway to New Opportunities”, this edition will spotlight several strategic sectors, including agriculture, industry, energy, finance, research and innovation, health, transport, and support for start-ups.

The fair offers a unique platform for companies to access the African market, which comprises over 1.4 billion people and has a combined GDP exceeding USD 3.5 trillion. Over 2,000 exhibitors from 140 countries are expected to participate, with investment and business deals projected to exceed USD 44 billion.

Visa for Entry to Algeria – IATF2025

I. Consular Visa

Except for nationals exempted from visa requirements, foreigners wishing to travel to Algeria to participate in the 4th edition of IATF2025 must apply for a visa through the Algerian diplomatic or consular missions in their country of residence.

The visa application should be submitted after completing event registration at the following link:

Submission of Applications

Applicants must approach Algerian embassies or consulates in their country of residence to submit their visa application.

Applications may be submitted individually or collectively through focal points designated by Afreximbank.

Required documents:

  • Completed and signed visa application form

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months

  • Copy of the passport pages containing personal information

  • Document confirming the validation of registration on the IATF 2025 platform

  • Two (2) recent passport-sized photos

  • Payment of visa fees

  • Hotel reservation

  • Round-trip flight reservation

Holders of diplomatic, service passports, or laissez-passers issued by regional or international organizations are subject to standard consular visa application procedures.

II. Visas on Arrival

In duly justified exceptional cases, visas may be issued upon arrival.

Conditions for issuance:

Every foreign national arriving in Algeria must present themselves to the competent border control authorities with a valid passport accompanied by a visa issued by an Algerian consulate or embassy.

However, in emergency situations, the Border Police may exceptionally issue a regularization visa at the border to a foreign national arriving without a visa.

This measure applies only to nationals of countries without Algerian diplomatic or consular representation.

Required documents for visa on arrival:

  • Regularization visa application form

  • Valid passport (more than 6 months)

  • Copy of the passport pages containing personal data

  • Document confirming the validation of registration on the IATF 2025 platform

  • Payment of visa fees as per Article 48 of the 2025 Finance Law

  • Proof of accommodation in Algeria (hotel reservation)

  • Return airline ticket

In order to be allowed to board a flight to an Algerian airport, participants eligible for a visa on arrival must carry a boarding authorization issued by the relevant Algerian authorities.

Note: Visa application forms are available for download from the websites of Algerian diplomatic and consular missions.

 

III. Accreditation of Journalists and Media:
The accreditation application period is set from June 1 to August 20, 2025.

Required documents for the accreditation application:

  • Visa application form (downloadable from the websites of diplomatic and consular missions, to be completed in two copies);

  • Letter from the media organization to which the journalist belongs;

  • Copy of the journalist’s professional card;

  • Two (2) recent passport-sized photos (in color and JPEG format);

  • Copy of the passport;

  • List of all audiovisual and technical equipment in the applicant’s possession.

Important: In countries where Algeria does not have diplomatic or consular representation, journalists must send their accreditation requests by email to the diplomatic mission covering their country.
